Mundane Microurbanism: Paper Please
Part of a downtown, semi-carless lifestyle--read if you're bored...
I wouldn't have known carrying groceries home would be much easier with paper than with plastic if I didn't have to do it. Normally I remember to ask for paper when I drop by a Downtown SJ grocery store for a few items and prefer having everything in one bag. But today I forgot to ask, and I made my usual several-block walk with plastic handles digging into my hands. Running errands downtown without my car is usually convenient, but forgetting to ask for paper bags can be a pain.
